Who we are

Baltic Charity Foundation  - founded in 2005, a non-profit organization. Our main goal is to fight against poverty and exclusion, to achieve a comprehensive well-being of each individual. Our main beneficiaries are rural communities and their members, as we believe it is rural people in most need of comprehensive assistance and ongoing support.

 

Maybe you volunteered or traveled around the world and you have seen how people live in poverty? Association NNVBO platform that brings together development cooperation organizations in Lithuania and the public institution " House of Europe "  together with the partner 15min.lt invites to participate in the photo contest "The world is in your eyes ."

There were pilot trainings for rural community members on 2015 11-12th of June, organized by the BF implementing project "Live in Village – be Aware of your Worth".

This training for rural community members is a trial version of the other project activities. Pilot-experimental training course was attended by experts who guided the training to BF employees. These experts participated in the training as supervisors. In the end of the training the experts and BF workers who guided training, discussed the training course and submitted an offers how to organize training and suggested appropriate methods to use to get the best outcome for everyone involved.

 

2015 European Year for development Goodwill Ambassadors: Rector of A.Stulginskis University Antanas Maziliauskas, Zigmas Kalesinskas a member of Councilfor the Protection of Ethnic Culture, manager of Alytus Europe Direct Information Centre Nijolė Vitienė, business man and self-government expert Justinas Rimas and doctor Alfredas Maruška. The ambassadors will participate in events for Development Cooperation throughout 2015 and share their best practices with rural communities and the general public.
